Alientech has added KESS3 BENCH mode support for the Bosch ZF 6HP19 TCU fitted to the Foton Sauvana.
What changed
Announced by Alientech (KESS3 Protocol Release, Upgrade 3.42), the update adds BENCH mode reading, writing and cloning for the Bosch ZF 6HP19 TCU, connecting directly through the transmission control unit connector without opening the unit.
Key detail for workshops: BENCH-mode read/write/cloning on the ZF 6HP19, useful for TCU repair or replacement as well as tuning.
Which vehicle is covered
Foton Sauvana, fitted with a 2.0 turbo petrol engine and ZF 6HP19 automatic transmission, produced from 2014 onward.
Why it matters here
The Sauvana was developed for the Chinese market and we don’t have confirmation it’s sold in Australia — Foton’s local lineup is centred on the Tunland ute and light/medium trucks. Including this one for completeness in tracking Alientech’s releases, but it’s not a vehicle we’d expect local workshops to see regularly.
