Alientech has added KESS3 BENCH mode support for the Denso 276700-0782 ECU, covering heavy equipment from Sany, SEM and XCMG — a step outside the usual road-vehicle territory and into construction and material-handling machinery.
What changed
Announced by Alientech (KESS3 Protocol Release, Upgrade 3.43), the update adds BENCH mode reading, writing and cloning for the Denso 276700-0782 ECU, connecting directly through the control unit connector.
Key detail for workshops: BENCH-mode read/write/cloning, useful for ECU repair or replacement — transferring data from a damaged original unit to a compatible replacement — as well as tuning.
Which machinery is covered
Sany, SEM and XCMG heavy equipment produced from 2013 onward, fitted with 6.4, 7.8 and 9.3-litre SAIC/SDEC engines.
Why it matters here
Sany and XCMG both have an established dealer presence in Australia’s construction and mining equipment market, so this genuinely extends into gear that’s out on local sites — though it’s worth being upfront that this is a different customer base to road-vehicle tuning: construction, lifting and material-handling machinery rather than cars, utes or vans.
