The Mitsubishi Triton MQ and MR 4N15 2.4-litre turbo diesel is a well-supported tune candidate with a large install base in Australia. The factory calibration is conservative and the engine responds reliably to Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuning.
Popular applications: work utes, light off-road, towing. ECU: Mitsubishi/Denso. Compatible tools: Alientech KESS3, Autotuner, PCMFlash.
Both stages are dyno-developed and validated on the 4N15 platform.
STAGE 1
Stage 1 on the Triton 4N15 targets the Mitsubishi/Denso ECU’s fuel delivery, boost, and torque maps. The gains are consistent and the drivability improvement — particularly in the low-to-mid range — is immediately noticeable in everyday driving and towing.
STAGE 2
Stage 2 is developed for Triton builds running upgraded intercooler and exhaust. These modifications are common on Tritons used for heavier towing or those already running bull bars and touring setups.

Mitsubishi Triton ECU Tune Files
TuneFiles offers Stage 1 and Stage 2 ECU tune files for the Mitsubishi Triton. Stage 1 requires no hardware modifications and delivers improved power and torque across the rev range. Stage 2 is calibrated for vehicles fitted with hardware upgrades such as a performance intercooler, exhaust, or intake system.
Stage 1 recalibrates fuel delivery, boost pressure, and torque limiters within the factory ECU — no hardware changes required. Stage 2 builds on Stage 1 and targets vehicles upgraded with an intercooler, exhaust, or intake, allowing the ECU to operate at a higher performance ceiling safely.
Most Mitsubishi Triton files are matched and delivered automatically within seconds. TuneFiles runs an automated system with over 15,000 proven solutions, meaning the majority of common vehicles are fulfilled instantly without manual build time.
Tune files for the Mitsubishi Triton are compatible with Alientech KESS3, K-TAG, and most major ECU flashing tools used by professional workshops. Contact TuneFiles before ordering if you need to confirm compatibility with a specific tool.
A tune file is a pre-calibrated ECU map developed and validated on a dynamometer. Unlike a live dyno tune, the file is written to the ECU using an Alientech or compatible tool — no dyno appointment is needed. All files supplied by TuneFiles are dyno-developed and verified before being added to the solution database.
TuneFiles is a trade service for professional automotive workshops, ECU tuners, and Alientech dealers. It is not a direct-to-consumer service. Workshops register for a trade account at files.tunefiles.com.au and can then order files for their customers.
Yes — where applicable, TuneFiles can supply emissions solution files for the Mitsubishi Triton including DPF off, EGR off, AdBlue off, and other ECU-level solutions. Availability depends on the specific ECU variant. These are ordered through the trade portal.
ECU modifications may affect the manufacturer warranty depending on the dealership and the nature of the claim. This is a question best discussed between the workshop and the vehicle owner before installation. TuneFiles supplies files to trade customers and does not provide warranty advice.
